AcornReply
For marketplace app makers

The support URL your Shopify app or Chrome extension listing asks for.

A Shopify app or Chrome extension listing asks for a support URL, a privacy policy and a way to reach you, and so do the other marketplaces. Paste your Shopify, Stripe, Slack, Chrome Web Store, GitHub, HubSpot or Atlassian listing link and get all three, with one inbox behind them.

The problem

Every marketplace asks for the same three links, in a different form.

The form asks for three links. Filling them in should take minutes, not a side project.

  • Reviewers open the links.

A blank page or a bare mailto link is not a support page.

  • Your users are businesses.

Their questions are about install, billing and their data, not how to log in.

  • Each app sends mail somewhere else.

With two or three apps, support mail ends up spread across inboxes, and nothing shows what is still waiting.

  • A privacy policy from a generator.

You get pages of text you did not read, about data your app never touches.

How AcornReply solves it

Paste your listing link. Get your support URL, policy and email.

One setup gives your Shopify app, Chrome extension or other marketplace app a support URL, a privacy policy and a support email address, each ready to paste into the listing form.

  1. Paste your listing link.

We tell which marketplace the app is on from the link, so you do not pick it. We fill in the app name, and the icon when we can read it from the listing.

  2. A support page with the form open on it.

It lives at yourapp.acornreply.com/support, so the same link works as your Shopify app support URL or your Slack app support page. A reviewer sees a way to reach you at once, with no sign-in. The email address shows only after a click.

  3. A privacy policy for that marketplace.

It names the marketplace, and a Shopify app also gets a section on the store and customer data it handles. Publish stays off until every part in brackets is filled. Then its link is ready for the listing form, such as your Chrome Web Store privacy policy URL.

  4. Starter questions for business users.

Four questions are ready to fill in: install and uninstall, billing, report a bug, and what data the app can see. They stay unpublished until you publish them.

  5. Each app gets its own inbox, all in one place.

Every app gets its own support page and inbox, and you switch between them in one click. One price covers all your apps.

Example

A Shopify app, listing day.

A solo developer pastes the app's Shopify listing link. AcornReply reads the marketplace from it and fills in the app name. They fill the 8 brackets in the privacy policy and publish it. Then they copy the support URL, the privacy policy URL and the support email into the Shopify app listing. Four starter questions wait, unpublished. A Chrome extension works the same way, from its Chrome Web Store link.

Getting started

Three links for your listing.

Sign up, paste your listing link, and finish the privacy policy. Then copy the support page, the privacy policy and the support email into the listing form.

Frequently asked questions

Is this for Shopify stores?

No. It is a support page for Shopify app developers and other marketplace app makers, not a help desk for a store.

Does a Chrome extension need a privacy policy?

If it handles user data, yes. The Chrome Web Store asks for a link to the policy in its developer dashboard. Finish and publish the policy here, then paste its link there.

Can I add several apps?

Yes. Each app gets its own workspace, with its own support page, privacy policy and inbox. Free covers up to 20 workspaces; Pro and Premium set no limit.

Can I use my own domain?

On a paid plan, the privacy policy and the help center can move to your own domain. The support page stays on your AcornReply subdomain.

What does it cost?

Free covers up to 20 apps (one workspace each), your first 20 AI drafts and 500 outbound emails a month. Pro is $20 a month, one flat price for all your apps, with no limit on apps. No card to start.
